To meet your needs, we can work with your contractor or recommend a contractor to you. Call us today to make your dream kitchen or bath become a reality.
We can remove and dispose of old garbage disposals and faucets. We will choose a high quality, commercial grade garbage disposal depending on your needs. We highly recommend that you chose your own faucet, as there are too many styles and choices for us to make the best choice for you. As always, after installing units we will leave the area cleaner than we found it.
Water heater installation and repairs require a certified technician, and with Keithley Plumbing a certified tech is exactly what you’ll get.
For installation we drain and haul away your old water heater and recycle it. We then install the new water heater to California code, connecting the unit to the existing gas, water, and electric lines, then fill and test the new unit to ensure everything works properly. We replace existing connecters and earthquake strap the unit so it sits securely in it’s place in the event of an emergency.
Thinking of going tankless?
Tankless water heaters are 30-40% more efficient than tank water heaters. Tankless water heaters cost less to operate, save water, occupy less space, and still provide a continuous flow of hot water. These units are most efficient in single family homes.
Tankless units require a designated electrical and gas line.
By replacing corroded galvanized pipes with copper or PEX you can kiss low water pressure goodbye, orange water due to rust, shower temperatures changing from hot to cold, and shower pressure that is annoyingly low.
Galvanized pipes can cause hard water and rust build up. It is best to repipe your whole house or commercial establishment at the same time to avoid old problems flowing into new copper or PEX pipes.
PEX (crosslinked polyethylene) is part of a water supply piping system that has several advantages over metal pipe or rigid plastic pipe systems. PEX is flexible, resistant to scale and chlorine, does not corrode or develop pinholes, is faster to install than metal or rigid plastic, and has fewer connections and fittings. Despite rumors, rodents and rats cannot chew through PEX. PEX tubing has been used for decades in other countries and has been in use in the United States since around 1980.
Keithley Plumbing technicians are certified by PEX to ensure quality workmanship. We have been installing Pex since 2013 and have not had any issues with rats chewing through the piping. With the additives in water, copper piping is experiencing pin hole leaks as early as 5 years after installation in some areas.
California Health and Safety code requires earthquake sensitive gas shutoff valves to be installed on all buildings. An automatic gas shutoff valve is installed at the gas meter. In the event of an earthquake the valve stops the flow of gas. After the earthquake the home owner can reset the valve with a screwdriver. It’s that easy to have peace of mind in the event of an emergency.
Drain and sewer video camera inspections help us to determine the cause and exact location of the problem whether it be roots, grease, fractures, or a separation in the line. Running a camera through an existing cleanout to inspect your lines will eliminate guesswork and allow us to make repairs more quickly. If a cleanout does not exist there are other options we can look into. We use subcontractors for this work.
From kitchen, bath, and laundry, sinks to area drains and main lines we can clean, repair, replace, and discuss other options to meet your needs. We use subcontractors for some of this work.
Trenchless sewer replacement is a great option when sewer lines are clogged due to roots in the line, separations, issues from earthquakes, or issues due to age. A hydraulic winch and cable pulls a new section of fused flexible pipe through the old, broken sewer line thus bursting the old line out of the way and clearing the path for the new pipe, which then straightens out into the exact place of the old pipe. This process, under the right circumstances, eliminates the need to dig trenches through lawns, landscaping, driveways, or concrete slabs, thus saving you time and money. We subcontract this work out.
If you suspect or know that you may have a gas leak, please don’t hesitate to call us. We can detect the location of the leak and repair or replace the line. If the gas company finds your leak before you do, they are obligated to shut off your services and lock your gas meter until a licensed plumber makes the repair. Call us before you’re without hot water or heating.
Depending on your situation and landscape design we can run a gas line underground (to meet code requirements), to your barbeque or fireplace or outdoor fire pit using all necessary valves and connectors.
If you suspect that your drain is slowing or clogged due to excessive build up, grease, soap scum, dirt, rocks, or paper accumulation in the sewages lines then high pressure hydro jetting may be the answer for you. Hydro jetting is case by case as traditional rootering is often sufficient enough but it may be the right solution for you.
High pressure hydro jetting cleans your pipes using 3,000 psi of water pressure with 15-20 gallons a minute. The water is not heated and does not contain any chemicals. High pressure hydro jetting breaks up the blockage and washes it through the pipe and into the sewer system.
