SERVICES

  • We used Keithley after a recommendation of a girlfriend who had line problems and loved them.  We have called them twice and they have helped at both our guest house with a thermal couple issue, and with a leak in our house.  Both times the plumber was on time, friendly and so helpful.  Highly recommend them for your plumbing needs!

  • I had had some BAD luck with a few plumbers before, being overcharged and under "fixed"...this was 100% NOT the case with Keithley Plumbing. Aaron was my plumber, he was super polite and professional, he spent about an hour fixing a back flow problem with my washing machine. He even got on the roof at one point to fix the problem. It's almost a month later and there has been running perfectly. My bill from them was VERY reasonable. I recommend Keithley to anyone in need of a plumber.

  • I recommend everyone uses Keithley plumbing! They are a great and reliable business. We had been having issues with our bathtub for years and had it worked on many times and something would always go wrong with it. We hired these guys to do the work and they were quick and efficient. They also cleaned up after themselves and we have had no problems with our bathtub since. They were honest and very affordable! We will be using them from now on for any plumbing jobs! Thanks guys!

  • We got an extremely high quote (way, way over the top) to install a water heater from an other "very well known" plumbing company. My neighbor recommended me to call Dan Keithley Plumbing who gave us a more realistic quote to do the work. Dan and his staff were polite and courteous on the phone.  We called on the Friday and Dan phoned first thing Monday ready to do the job that morning.  Dan and his staff did an amazing job installing our water heater and at a price we could afford as well. I will absolutely be keeping this company's telephone number as a reference for my friends and for myself for any future jobs.

  • As a Pasadena area Realtor, I have been using and referring Dan Keithley and Keithley Plumbing for years. I have always been happy with the results and would recommend them highly!

  • At 7:30 a.m. we discovered we had no hot water, and the basement was flooded. I called Keithley Plumbing immediately. Dan Kiethley was here in 20 minutes and confirmed we needed a new water heater. By 10:30 he and his crew obtained and installed a new heater and pumped out the water in the basement. We could't have asked for better or quicker service. For the past ten years we have used Keithley for all our plumbing needs from a major complete copper repiping of the whole house to a minor drain problem. They are simply the best we have used in the 40 years we have been in this house.

  • Dan and his staff are the best.  They are honest and timely.  They have been my go-to plumber for more than 10 years. I have had simple snake issues, change out of faucets, identifying a leak in a refrigerator line, and finding a leak in the pipes.  They have always been super responsive, and provide a great service for a competitive price.

  • My family has been using Keithley plumbing for years on their home and our rental properties. I cannot say enough nice things about them. The woman who answers the phone is very knowledge and helpful, plus she always fits us in when we have an emergency at a rental. Their technicians are always so polite and really know what they're doing. Dan knows what part to bring before he even arrives which always amazes me. Brian and Jim have done a great job installing a few water heaters (among countless other jobs) at our own home and our rentals. This crew is awesome and I plan on using them for many years to come!

  • Man, I was wondering about hiring a plumber based on a recommendation from a retail store...This company turned out to be fantastic!  I was very happy with the work Brian, 4th generation, did.  Had two ceramic valves (stems?) replaced and the two supply valves under the same bathroom sink replaced.  Their bill was VERY reasonable.  I will definitely use them in the future.  Thanks Keithley Plumbing

Tank and Tankless Water Heater Installation and Repair By “Certified Technician”

Water heater installation and repairs require a certified technician, and with Keithley Plumbing a certified tech is exactly what you’ll get.

For installation we drain and haul away your old water heater and recycle it. We then install the new water heater to California code, connecting the unit to the existing gas, water, and electric lines, then fill and test the new unit to ensure everything works properly. We replace existing connecters and earthquake strap the unit so it sits securely in it’s place in the event of an emergency.

Thinking of going tankless?

Tankless water heaters are 30-40% more efficient than tank water heaters. Tankless water heaters cost less to operate, save water, occupy less space, and still provide a continuous flow of hot water. These units are most efficient in single family homes.

Tankless units require a designated electrical and gas line.

Copper and PEX Repiping

By replacing corroded galvanized pipes with copper or PEX you can kiss low water pressure goodbye, orange water due to rust, shower temperatures changing from hot to cold, and shower pressure that is annoyingly low.

Galvanized pipes can cause hard water and rust build up. It is best to repipe your whole house or commercial establishment at the same time to avoid old problems flowing into new copper or PEX pipes.

PEX (crosslinked polyethylene) is part of a water supply piping system that has several advantages over metal pipe or rigid plastic pipe systems. PEX is flexible, resistant to scale and chlorine, does not corrode or develop pinholes, is faster to install than metal or rigid plastic, and has fewer connections and fittings. Despite rumors, rodents and rats cannot chew through PEX. PEX tubing has been used for decades in other countries and has been in use in the United States since around 1980.

Keithley Plumbing technicians are certified by PEX to ensure quality workmanship. We have been installing Pex since 2013 and have not had any issues with rats chewing through the piping. With the additives in water, copper piping is experiencing pin hole leaks as early as 5 years after installation in some areas.

Earthquake-Sensitive Gas Shutoff Valves

California Health and Safety code requires earthquake sensitive gas shutoff valves to be installed on all buildings. An automatic gas shutoff valve is installed at the gas meter. In the event of an earthquake the valve stops the flow of gas. After the earthquake the home owner can reset the valve with a screwdriver. It’s that easy to have peace of mind in the event of an emergency.

Video Camera Inspection, Sewers, Area Drains

Drain and sewer video camera inspections help us to determine the cause and exact location of the problem whether it be roots, grease, fractures, or a separation in the line. Running a camera through an existing cleanout to inspect your lines will eliminate guesswork and allow us to make repairs more quickly. If a cleanout does not exist there are other options we can look into. We use subcontractors for this work.

Drain Repair and Cleaning

From kitchen, bath, and laundry, sinks to area drains and main lines we can clean, repair, replace, and discuss other options to meet your needs. We use subcontractors for some of this work.

Trenchless Sewer Repair and Replacement

Trenchless sewer replacement is a great option when sewer lines are clogged due to roots in the line, separations, issues from earthquakes, or issues due to age. A hydraulic winch and cable pulls a new section of fused flexible pipe through the old, broken sewer line thus bursting the old line out of the way and clearing the path for the new pipe, which then straightens out into the exact place of the old pipe. This process, under the right circumstances, eliminates the need to dig trenches through lawns, landscaping, driveways, or concrete slabs, thus saving you time and money. We subcontract this work out.

Gas Line Repair and Replacement

If you suspect or know that you may have a gas leak, please don’t hesitate to call us. We can detect the location of the leak and repair or replace the line. If the gas company finds your leak before you do, they are obligated to shut off your services and lock your gas meter until a licensed plumber makes the repair. Call us before you’re without hot water or heating.

Run Gas Lines to Your Barbecue and Your Fireplace

Depending on your situation and landscape design we can run a gas line underground (to meet code requirements), to your barbeque or fireplace or outdoor fire pit using all necessary valves and connectors.

High Pressure Hydro Jetting

If you suspect that your drain is slowing or clogged due to excessive build up, grease, soap scum, dirt, rocks, or paper accumulation in the sewages lines then high pressure hydro jetting may be the answer for you. Hydro jetting is case by case as traditional rootering is often sufficient enough but it may be the right solution for you.

High pressure hydro jetting cleans your pipes using 3,000 psi of water pressure with 15-20 gallons a minute. The water is not heated and does not contain any chemicals. High pressure hydro jetting breaks up the blockage and washes it through the pipe and into the sewer system.

We use subcontractors for this work.
